The step after the watch

HMD and Xplora have made "the child's first smartphone" - comes with its own SIM card

The phone is called HMD Fusion X1 and it is primarily a way for parents to feel secure with their children's smartphone.

Connected children's watches have become popular in recent years, for children who are not yet old enough to have their own smartphone. Through the watch, the child can communicate with predetermined, secure contacts and the parents can see the child's location. This concept is brought by Xplora and HMD to the phone HMD Fusion X1, a version of the modular phone HMD Fusion which was released already last autumn.

With HMD Fusion X1, parents have the opportunity to control the children's screen time, see their location and decide who they can contact. All this is done by the parents from the Xplora app on the parent's iPhone or Android. Just like with the watches, the HMD Fusion X1 is to be delivered with a pre-installed subscription so you pay directly to Xplora.

As an accessory to the phone, there is a power bank with integrated selfie light (see the picture above) as well as a game controller with physical buttons that can be purchased and connected via contacts on the back.
