BankID gets a new widget - This is how to use it

It is now easier to use BankID with iOS thanks to a new scanning widget.

BankID releases an updated version of the BankID app where a new widget is launched that provides direct access to QR scanning from the lock screen. 

BankID has introduced a new widget that allows users to quickly access the "Scan QR code" function directly from the phone's lock screen. BankID also offers a widget for a digital ID card, where the icon has now been changed to more clearly represent the function. 

To use the widgets, you need a phone with iOS 16 or later and the latest version of the BankID app. You can easily add the widgets by following these steps: 

  1. Update the BankID app to the latest version. 
  2. Press the lock screen so that it lights up. 
  3. Press and hold to start customisation mode. 
  4. Select the "Customise" option and then go to "Lock Screen". 
  5. Press "Add Widgets" and choose the BankID widgets you want.
