Smart ring and translation earbuds

Acer introduces smart ring

Acer showcases both a smart ring and new earbuds with built-in translation.

At the Computex 2025 event, Acer has unveiled two new products in what they call wearables, in the form of a smart ring and new earbuds with built-in translation functionality.

The Acer FreeSense Ring is a smart ring made from an ultra-light titanium alloy. The ring measures key health details such as heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, and sleep quality. The collected data is analysed in a dedicated mobile app that generates individual health advice - all without additional subscription fees.

At the same time, Acer is also launching AI TransBuds, a pair of compact and lightweight earbuds with built-in AI for real-time translation. Using a receiver, two-way communication is activated that translates speech directly, making the earbuds useful in everything from informal conversations to business meetings and live streams. The product also supports live captioning and transcription and enables translation of 15 major languages, facilitating communication across language barriers. However, it has not been disclosed which languages these are.

When the products will be launched and what they will cost has not yet been revealed.
