Updates are now over

Popular Samsung Phones Retire

After many years of loyal service, it's time for Samsung's Galaxy S20 series to retire - with one exception.

Samsung has now, with the March update, officially ended software support for its popular Galaxy S20 models. Despite the series officially being due to stop receiving updates last year, the company chose to extend support until March 2025. Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra will therefore no longer receive security updates in the future, which consequently increases the risk of using the phones.

An exception, however, is the Galaxy S20 FE, which is still listed under quarterly updates. According to Samsung, the model can expect two more security updates during 2025 before its support is also phased out.
