Almost like on Android

Circle to Search also on iPhone with this app

While Google and manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola, and Xiaomi promote Circle to Search for quickly searching what is displayed on the screen, Google does not have the same ability to integrate its services into the iPhone. However, they have made significant progress in offering something that is almost as convenient.

With Google's own app, you can image search with a single click on what was captured in your latest screenshot. Download the Google app here if you haven't already installed it. When you want to search for something displayed on your iPhone screen, simply take a screenshot and then switch to the Google app. The image will then be available as a shortcut directly on the homepage.

Click on that image, adjust if necessary what in the image you want to know more about, but Google is good at guessing important objects in the image, then you just need to view the answer.

Circle to Search is in its full form exclusive to the latest Android phones and made its debut on the Samsung Galaxy S24 just over a year ago. Since then, the feature has been released on a long line of additional Androids, new and old, expensive and cheaper.

The idea with Circle to Search on Android is mainly that you should be able to search for what is displayed on the screen without having to switch apps, as Circle to Search overlays what is displayed on the screen. You don't get that function entirely on iPhone, but the utility is still quite similar.
