Reported to follow Vision OS

"New iOS to Receive Drastically New Design"

Could become the biggest design change in twelve years.

Apple will later this year implement the largest design change of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 since the launch of iOS 7 in 2013 and macOS Big Sur in 2020. This is according to the publication Bloomberg, which reports that the changes include new icons, menus, apps, and buttons. The inspiration is said to come from Apple's operating system Vision OS, which is used in its XR headset Vision Pro.

The goal of the changes is to create a more unified and cohesive user experience across all three operating systems iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. However, they do not intend to merge the operating systems, as the changes will primarily focus on design.

There is also speculation that the new design may be presented during WWDC, which is planned to be held sometime in June.
