Rounded edges on the screen

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion launched: Durable, smart and affordable

Unusually resistant to water and dirt, with well-designed material choices, good screen and at a low price. The first phone in Motorola's Edge 60 family has made its debut.

During an exclusive preview ahead of this launch, we had the opportunity to take a closer look at the product and can confirm that the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion feels well-made. Motorola has increased the durability so that the phone is resistant to water and dust according to both IP68 and IP69 standards. This means it can withstand water under pressure, and the screen can be used even when it or your fingers are wet.

In the bright 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, you will of course find Android 15 and Motorola's Hello UX interface, which stays close to Google's standard appearance. However, Motorola is adding more to its system, which, in addition to Google's Gemini, includes their own Moto AI, the Smartconnect connectivity feature to link the phone with other larger screens and computers, as well as the security features Moto Secure and Thinkshield. In addition to this, Motorola also has a tendency to include more unwanted junk apps, known as bloatware.

Rounded edges all around

The screen in the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is one of the few on the market that is rounded not only on the long sides but also at the top and bottom. We have seen this before with the Honor Magic 6 Pro, and this gives the phone particularly thin edges when you hold it in your hand, and it is also relatively light in terms of weight.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is a simpler phone in Motorola's product family, so it doesn't have the most lavish cameras. On the back, we have a main camera with 50 megapixels, featuring Sony's Lytia 700C sensor, and it is accompanied by a wide-angle lens with 13 megapixels, capable of taking macro photos down to a distance of three centimetres. What looks like a camera module with four cameras on the back actually only houses two cameras. The other two openings contain a light sensor and a photo lamp, respectively.

With its price tag of 4500 kronor, the Edge 60 Fusion appears to be truly good value, with the screen and durability as its main trump cards. The phone is officially launched today and will be available from tomorrow, April 3rd.
