Tele2 raises prices on all mobile subscriptions

From March 1, Tele2 will introduce new, higher prices on all its mobile subscriptions. Subscriptions with a binding period will retain the previous, lower price, but others will receive a price increase.

Tele2 has reviewed its subscriptions, changed names and data allowances in some, and raised prices. The largest price increase is for those with the smallest data allowance in their subscription. The old subscription Mobile 5 GB, which today costs 269 kronor per month, is replaced with the subscription simply called 10 GB with a monthly cost of 299 kronor. This is an 18 percent price increase, although the data allowance is also increased at the same time.

The subscription currently called Mobile 15 GB becomes 20 GB and the price increases from 319 kronor to 349 kronor. Tele2 has several offers in connection with this, so if you sign a new subscription, you can get a discount on some of them for the first 12 months before the regular price applies. As for the 20 GB subscription, you can get double data as long as you have the subscription and a price reduction of 50 kronor for the first 12 months. With the 10 GB subscription, you can get a 100 kronor discount per month for the first year if you sign a new subscription.

On Wednesday, Tele2 presented its results for 2024, and the new CEO, Jean Marc Harion, who took over last fall, also announced a major savings package. Tele2 aims to increase profitability by letting go of 15 percent of the employees, approximately 600-700 people mainly in Sweden, and by prioritizing more strictly and reducing investments.
