A QR code is enough

Google launches wide rollout of sharing via QR

Now many more have the opportunity to share easily via QR codes in Quick Share.

After previously being available only to some users, Google has now started rolling out the expanded quick sharing feature to more users. It is a feature in the Quick Share tool where users no longer need to define users and who can receive and send files. Instead, a QR code is used.

Just like before, the person who wants to share pictures or similar selects them, presses the Share icon, and chooses Quick Share as the sharing tool. The difference from before is that now the new option “QR code or link” is displayed. By pressing it, a QR code is shown on the sender's screen. The person or persons who are to receive the shared material now only need to scan the QR code to receive the material.

The update of Quick Share is currently being rolled out.
