Thin on the power front

Apple's and Samsung's upcoming thin phones may have a major drawback: poor battery life

Both Samsung's Galaxy S25 Slim and iPhone 17 Air may need to be charged very often.

Making small, or in this case thin, mobile phones involves a number of compromises due to the limited space. This will also be the case with Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim and Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air, according to the leaker Digital Chat Station.

While many of today's modern mobiles have a capacity of around 5000 mAh, and in some cases up to 7500 mAh, both of these thin mobiles will have between 3000 and 4000 mAh according to the leaker.

However, the physical size alone does not have to be the only explanation for the alleged low capacity, neither company has yet started using the new silicon-carbon technology that enables a higher energy density, which means that batteries can store more without increasing in physical size.
