Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs Xiaomi 14T Pro - Which one has the best performance?

Which is the fastest among Xiaomi's and Samsung's affordable top models? Which has the best battery life? We have compared.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

In the Galaxy S24 FE, Samsung has installed its own manufactured chipset, the Exynos 2400e, which is the same chip that powers the regular Galaxy S24 but with a slightly lower maximum clock frequency. In practice, top performance, that is. The storage space of 128 GB in the standard version may feel a bit stingy when there is no memory card slot, and it is worth paying 700 kronor more for 256 GB. The measured time during continuous video playback at maximum brightness, over 13 hours, is excellent, as is often the case with Samsung's mobiles. That's the screen time, but with usage that draws more processing power than video, the battery can drain significantly faster. No charger is included, but with an external fast charger, the phone can be charged with 25 watts USB charging or 15 watts wireless charging, not particularly fast.

Xiaomi 14T Pro

Xiaomi also does not use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but has in the 14T Pro the competitor Mediatek's Dimensity 9300+. It turns out to be surprisingly fast as well, and in performance tests, the Xiaomi 14T Pro is slightly faster than the Galaxy S24 FE. 512 GB of storage is generous, but there is no memory card slot. The screen time in our video test is slightly shorter than Samsung's but hardly so much that it is decisive. Under load, the battery does not drain quite as quickly as for Samsung. The Xiaomi 14T Pro can be charged really fast, up to 120 watts with a cable or 50 watts wirelessly. This makes a big difference in how quickly the phone charges, but you have to get these chargers separately as they are not included in the box.
