Not just phones

Xiaomi releases the new smartwatch Redmi Watch 5 and two pairs of Redmi Buds

Xiaomi is not only launching Redmi phones today but also accessories. Like the phones, these are competitively priced products. The watch costs 1400 SEK and the earbuds 550 and 1000 SEK respectively.

In addition to a battery life of 24 days, the Redmi Watch 5 has a newly developed algorithm that, according to Xiaomi, is supposed to provide better accuracy for heart rate measurement. The watch can measure heart rate, but also blood oxygen levels and your sleep quality. Additionally, there is GPS so you can have your workout route measured. The watch is also water-resistant so you can measure water sports like swimming, and there are a total of 150 different sports modes to choose from.

The screen on the Redmi Watch 5 is 2.07 inches with 1500 nits brightness, which Xiaomi promises will make it easy to read even in sunlight. Around the screen, there is an aluminum frame, and there are a variety of straps that can be used to give the watch your own style along with a personalized watch face.

The Redmi Watch 5 will launch in Sweden on February 24 and is expected to cost 1400 SEK.

The headphones Redmi Buds 6 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro

Both pairs of headphones offer improved noise reduction. Buds 6 have noise reduction that is supposed to reduce disturbing sounds by up to 49 decibels and Buds 6 Pro by up to 55 decibels. Compared to the predecessors of Redmi Buds 6 Pro, the total noise reduction in the Pro model is now said by Xiaomi to be "up to 14.16 percent" better. So, no revolution.

In general, the Pro headphones, with their price being about double what the cheaper ones cost, are supposed to offer a bit more of most things except battery life. While Buds 6 should last for 10 hours on a single charge and then have 42 hours of battery life with the charging case, Buds 6 Pro users have to settle for a little less, 9.5 hours and 36 hours with the charging case.

Above all, Buds 6 Pro have high-resolution sound, touch controls, and the ability for the user to customize the sound with personalized equalizer settings. However, Buds 6 also have touch controls.

The headphones also go on sale on February 24 and cost 550 and 1000 kronor, respectively.
