Aiming for another fold

Samsung's prototype at CES 2022 used a so-called Z-fold.

Samsung rumored to launch double-folding phone

Samsung may take a new step in the development of foldable devices with a double-folding unit.

Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event with new devices will take place on January 22, but in 6-7 months, another event will be held to present their new foldable models.

Now, the Korean publication Sisa Journal has released information about an upcoming double-folded device that may be presented alongside the other foldable models. According to the source, the device will be launched in the second half of 2025 but only in a very limited edition, reportedly fewer than 300,000 units.

Samsung has previously showcased foldable devices with a so-called Z-shaped fold, similar to the Huawei Mate XT and Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2. The new device is said to choose a different solution, specifically a G-shaped fold, meaning it is almost "rolled" out. The screen size is reported to be somewhere between 9 and 10 inches.
