Oura Ring predicts if you are starting to get sick

New feature gives the smart ring Oura the ability to try to predict if you are getting sick,

In the coming days, Oura will launch the new Symptom Radar feature, a function aimed at warning users if they might be getting sick. By analyzing biometric data such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), body temperature, and respiratory rate, Symptom Radar will be able to identify deviations from the user's normal values.

Although the feature cannot diagnose or determine which specific illness it might be, it can serve as an early warning signal. Users can thus take proactive measures, such as prioritizing rest, to reduce the risk of getting sick.

According to Oura, the feature has been developed using data from the company's research on illness prediction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Symptom Radar has been in beta testing since April and is now ready for full launch.
