Thin and light

Galaxy S25 Edge could be a real lightweight

Samsung's upcoming slim Galaxy S25 model Edge seems to be both thin and light.

During Samsung's Unpacked event in January, the existence of the Galaxy S25 Edge was confirmed, but no direct details about the phone were revealed. Now, rumours are circulating that the new model will not only be unusually thin but also very light.

According to information from the publication Smartprix, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be only 5.84 millimetres thick and weigh less than 160 grams. This can be compared to, for example, the Apple iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 Plus, which weigh 170 and 190 grams respectively. If the information is correct, the S25 Edge would be Samsung's lightest flagship model since the Galaxy S10 and S10e were launched in 2019.

The thin and light design is said to come with a not too illogical drawback in the form of a battery capacity of 3900 mAh.

Among other rumours, there is mention of a primary camera of 200 MP in combination with a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The screen is said to be flat and the frame made of metal.

There is also speculation about whether the Galaxy S25 Edge will have a limited release and possibly not be launched in Sweden.
