Freja and Samsung in Swedish Collaboration

Freja is now set to become an integrated part of Samsung's digital wallet, Wallet.

Freja eID Group AB announces that it has entered into an agreement with Samsung Electronics Nordic AB to collaborate on digital wallet functions. In the first step, the collaboration focuses on the Swedish market, with an evaluation of the technology's potential within the EU as the next step. 

The intention of the collaboration is for Freja to be integrated into Samsung Wallet. Samsung Wallet is a digital wallet where users can store and manage payment cards, flight tickets, and membership cards. The collaboration means that Samsung users can easily activate and use Freja's digital ID card directly in Samsung Wallet. 

This agreement marks a first step towards the development of digital wallets for the European market. Within the EU, work is underway to create common standards for digital ID wallets such as e-identification, payments, mobile driving licences, and digital ID cards.
